Formulaiczność w użyciu
Zajęcia w ramach Projektu badawczego będą poświęcone badaniu formulaiczności za pomocą narzędzi korpusowych. Po wprowadzeniu w podstawowe zagadnienia dotyczące formulaiczności i badań korpusowych, uczestnicy zajęć będą analizować użycia wyrażeń formulaicznych w zasobach Corpus of Contemporary American English i News on the Web. Analiza skupiać się będzie na aspektach prozodii semantycznej, częstotliwości użyć poszczególnych znaczeń wyrażeń, zmiany tych znaczeń itp.
Formulaic language in use
Research Project classes will focus on investigating formulaic language by means of language corpora. Following an introduction into the foundations of formulaic language and corpus research, students will analyze actual uses of formulaic sequences in the text collections available in the Corpus of Contemporary American English and News on the Web. Analysis will focus on aspects of semantic prosody, frequencies of uses of specific senses of formulaic expressions, and semantic change, among others.
