During the Innovative Materials Engineering course, the student will acquire knowledge and skills regarding the structure, methods of production, processing, treatment, and properties of innovative materials from basic groups of engineering materials, i.e., metals and alloys, ceramics, and polymers. During the course, the student will understand the relationship between the structure and properties and phenomena occurring during the production and processing of materials.

Upon completion of the module, the student will have knowledge about the practical application of the materials and the latest trends and innovations for the development of modern technologies.
