During the Innovative Materials Engineering course, the student will acquire knowledge and skills regarding the structure, methods of production, processing, treatment, and properties of the innovative materials from basic groups of engineering materials, i.e. metals and alloys, ceramics, polymers, and composites. During the course, the student will understand the relationship between the structure and properties as well as phenomena occurring during the production and processing of materials.
Upon completion of the module, the student will have the knowledge about practical application of the materials and the latest trends and innovations for the development of modern technologies.
